Regenerating Lithgow is an important capacity building project that will assist people in Lithgow (NSW) with the ongoing work necessary to recover from the impacts of the bushfires through education, skills building, mentoring and creative activities that will improve interconnected resilience across key areas of the natural, built, economic, and social environment.
Regenerating Lithgow is being coordinated by Maldhan Ngurr Ngurra – the Lithgow Transformation Hub. The Hub is using the Greenprints approach as the ‘scaffolding’ to connect its various projects, and to bring the entire project into the biophysical capacity of its bioregion.
“Maldhan Ngurr Ngurra – the Lithgow Transformation Hub is pleased to be partnering with the Greenprints program and AELA, as part of its Regenerating Lithgow – People, Place, and Planet project. Greenprints offers a framework for integrating regional ecological, social, and economic issues into place-based plans and activities for a thriving future. It provides a unique way to ensure that our community initiatives are integrated into a framework that is coherent enough to hold them together, while also flexible enough to respond to change.”
